Needless to say I wanted a dual setup some time ago. Local exhaust shop recommends using a transverse camaro/firebird muffler and running it long wise (instead of wheel to wheel) then have the outlet that's next to the inlet wrap around then out the other side.

Edit to clarify : I'm getting rid of the dual setup, that was done some years ago and now I'm going back to a 1:1:2 setup (I have a thing for twin tips)

...now there's 3 of them looking at it.

Why bother with the dual exit?

Next you are going to say they recommend 3" pipe.

I thought it would look cool, and admittedly it did. But that was also like 4 years ago

What car? Essentially the shops are trying to do a pickup truck "dual" exhaust.

Straightpipes and glasspacks bro. For your track day bro. It totally doesn't get old after like 15 minutes bro. I know from experience bro.

Seriously though, my Porsche has nearly straight pipes from the PO and it gets old after about 20 minutes. Probably going to replace it with some remote controlled cut-outs.

Make sure you buy high quality ones. Even then the service life can be pretty short.

that it is. Something that's probably going to be too harsh and too loud for a small displacement v6 ... But it probably wont be nearly as bad as the straight through magnaflow that was on there.

Highway speed is where it will matter most. In some cases the "dronemaster" moniker is completely justified.

Wouldn't one of these have been easier the last time you changed your muffler? :p
